The very first trailer for Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 has dropped.
Submitted towards the anime’s official Twitter account, a clip confirms what many previous marketing materials teased the approaching season will focus heavily on Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto’s time as students at Jujutsu High. The recording starts with the entire year moving away from 2017 (when Season 1 of Jujutsu Kaisen happens) to 2006 and provides fans glimpses of these two special-grade sorcerer’s antics. A clip also promises a storyline full of action, that contains shots of Geto summoning monstrous curses and hints of Gojo’s brutal and epic fight with Toji Fushiguro.

A clip also confirms that Shōta Goshozono (Ranking of Nobleman) has replaced Sang Hoo Park because the anime’s director. Furthermore, it dispels rumors that voice actor Tahakiro Sakurai wouldn’t play Geto in Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2. Alongside Sakurai, Yūichi Nakamura returns because the voice of Gojo, with Anna Nagase (Yurei Deco) and Takehito Koyasu (Gintama) joining the cast as Riko Amanai and Toji Fushiguro, correspondingly.
Manabu Ohtsuka, the Chief executive officer of MAPPA, the studio behind the anime, guaranteed Jujutsu Kaisen fans that Season 2 would build upon the principles of Season 1, expanding and growing the storyline. “We will not do exactly the same factor and repeat ourselves. Towards the fans from the series, I must show increased success and larger development in season 2,” he described throughout a recent interview. Shifting focus from the primary figures, Yuji Itadori, Megumi Fushiguro and Nobara Kugisaki, and towards Gojo and Geto throughout their senior high school years seems to become one of the ways Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 will subvert expectations.

Gege Akutami’s ongoing Jujutsu Kaisen manga debuted in Shueisha’s Weekly Shōnen Begin March 2018, and also the series to date has created 22 volumes price of content.
