Born using the quirk – decay, Shigaraki could rot and destroy anything he touched, an in-depth component that led to Shigaraki’s evil actions was his abusive upbringing, his father constantly mistreated him for searching as much as heroes, this reinforced Shigaraki’s feelings of rejection and unwantedness, causing him to question why the planet hated him, and that he started hating the planet in exchange.
Because of his quirk, Shigaraki wound up accidentally killing his family people but intentionally kills his father due to the abuse he caused by him through the years for supporting heroes. The now orphaned Shigaraki roamed the roads expecting individuals to help him, but society just assumed that heroes would take proper care of him, upsetting the youthful boy even more. Shigaraki was seen as outsider to society and it was constantly rejected by individuals around him, and that he always felt he did not fit in with society while he did not participate in the planet around him, he gradually started to resent society more, particularly the heroes. Following the dying of his family, Shigaraki encountered All for just one who required him under his wing and groomed him to become his successor.
The Descent To Evil
All For Just One saw the possibility Shigaraki had and filled his mind with hateful ideologies, causing him to become vessel for those For A person’s desire to have destruction and domination. Yesteryear and offer knowledge about rejection and abuse of society fueled his hate much more, and that he progressively grew to become consumed with anger. Under All For A person’s guidance, Shigaraki increased track of an adverse view around the globe, viewing all existence as meaningless and valuing only their own desire to have revenge. It was further reinforced by his experience like a villain, where he was constantly defeated by heroes and rejected by society. Also, he grew to become the best choice from the League of Villain, several like-minded villains who shared the need to create lower hero society and society generally, and make up a ” new world ” where villains could rule without interference from heroes.
Although Shigaraki is continually viewed as cruel and brutal villain, there’s a feeling of tragedy to his character, because he is mainly driven through the feeling of loneliness and isolation. Unlike most those who are given the opportunity to make significant connections using their quirk, Shigaraki had to discover the painfully costly way how destructive his quirk might be inducing the lack of his family. Also, he later knows that All For Just One was using him like a weapon and power all of this while never truly caring about Shigaraki’s goals and needs.
Shigaraki’s quirk “decay” is meaning for that character’s situation and the negative take on existence. Shigaraki’s journey from the traumatized childhood to some effective villain was formed through the factors of his quirk, relationship and the experience. While his actions are evil, they’re also a direct result deep discomfort and suffering he’s suffered throughout his existence making them the effective villain he’s today.
