Thanks for visiting season two, episode seven of Don’t Toy Beside Me, Miss Nagatoro. It comes down to Senpai together with his to the target audience and hunched over his desk focusing on something mysterious. His mother calls him for supper, and that he responds prior to the anime opening begins.
Nagatoro visits the skill clubroom and greets Senpai as always. She notices a box of contacts by his side and starts questioning him on his “glow-up” efforts, teasing him even while. He mentions he was thinking about trying them out since putting on glasses will get annoying. She convinces him to test them on while offering to insert them in for him. He imagines her using the chance to poke him in the eyes and declines.
A Watch to have an Eye
When Senpai finally gives in, he immediately regrets his decision considering Nagatoro’s suspicious enthusiasm to help. He gets to be more nervous and reluctant as she approaches his eye and among the lenses. Surely, any anime fan who’s tried to cosplay with colored contacts, but couldn’t manage to have their eyes open when inserting them can verify his struggle.
When the contact is within, Senpai finds themself amazed at how obvious his vision is without frames. Nagatoro highlights he can’t do his “usual thing” without his glasses, but he doesn’t realize what she’s talking about. She takes his glasses to show, and he’s shocked just a little by seeing her with glasses. His astonishment fades rapidly when she illustrates his inclination to push his glasses further on his nose when he’s nervous or tense. He pouts, and she or he realizes just how much he’s dazzled by the feel of her in glasses. He subconsciously would go to lift his glasses like he typically does in the nervousness, but there aren’t any glasses for him to lift.
Nagatoro skis lower an incline together with her buddies as Senpai and a few random buddies of his watch from the safe distance. Senpai imagines Nagatoro skiing and being astounded by his keeping pace together with her. While he’s lost in thought, viewers begin to see the creepiest look they’ve seen on Senpai’s face, as well as his menacing chuckle, and the buddies appear just like weirded out. Just then, they notice Nagatoro making her way toward them.
She greets her senpai, and the buddies are shocked to determine they know among the “popular women.” She invites him to visit skiing together with her, and the buddies don’t argue. They inquire if he’s seeing her, and that he attempts to be coy, denying it and pushing up his glasses. It’s just a little cringe, as his buddies would agree.
As Nagatoro and Senpai ride the lift to the top slope, she teases him about his buddies thinking they’re dating. After they leave the lift, Nagatoro is amazed at how flat and easy the beginner’s course is since she’s accustomed to tougher slopes. They begin, and he’s not able to manage themself, so he skis in to a wall of snow.
Nagatoro laughs and mentions it’s precisely how she expected he’d ski. She gives him training, each one of these winding up with him inside a wall of snow unless of course she stops him. Before long, Senpai sits feeling dejected in the insufficient skills. Nagatoro’s buddies go by, skiing effortlessly, and Nagatoro smiles as she waves their way. As Senpai watches her, he feels just a little worse.
Later at night, Senpai sits together with his buddies within the ski resort. Nagatoro spots him as she’s departing using the night skiers and invites him to participate, but he decides against it. He claims his legs hurt in the skiing, but viewers know he’s just disappointed about not better. They bid one another farewell, and she or he leaves to participate others. After she leaves, Senpai’s buddies are shocked once more by much more “popular girls” approaching them. Gamo-chan and Yoshi prod him about going skiing with Nagatoro, and that he confesses he feels he’d just slow her lower. Then, they mention it is not the purpose and then leave him to his ideas.
After a little consideration, Senpai decides to mind out and exercise more. Eventually, he’s in a position to steer themself from the wall of snow, but his feet slips, and that he falls down. Because he begins to lose morale, he remembers practicing with Nagatoro and when again imagines having the ability to impress her together with his skiing skills.
After renewing his resolve, he notices a runaway skier. The kid is heading straight toward a tree and can’t stop themselves. Senpai launches into action and rescues the little one just over time. Following the child’s father thanks Senpai and takes his boy to ski more, Senpai is all about to return to practicing.
Its Keep Were Two
Just then, a set of obnoxious skiers come past their prime further in the slope. They’re skiing without searching forward, among them poses for that ‘gram and yet another snaps pictures. Senpai turns to determine them on the direct road to collide with him, but he’s not able to get away from the way in which. Nagatoro swoops in and pulls Senpai from the pair. Because the obnoxious set of social networking influencers sit on the floor covered in snow, Nagatoro glares their way and informs these to watch where they’re moving in a deeply threatening voice. It’s reliable advice Nagatoro passed the violence check. The 2 skiers apologize and take. Nagatoro compliments Senpai for skiing well as he saved the kid before she teases him for skiing just like a shaky, drunk driver. He hesitantly asks her to help keep teaching him to ski, that she beams with happiness and concurs. Because they practice, she gives more tips and informs him to look at her because they ski. His cheekbones grow hotter because he gazes at her, and that he loses themself inside a trance.
The following day, Nagatoro and her buddies watch Senpai because he teaches his buddies to ski. Not really five seconds in, he skis in to a wall of snow again, departing Nagatoro confused and her buddies literally laughing aloud. Back in school, the skill club president informs Senpai that they got recognized into a skill school, and that he congratulates her. She asks him what he’ll do after graduation, and according to him he’ll apply for art school too. She’s amazed at his confidence and positivity but assumes it’s partially because of Nagatoro’s influence. As Senpai walks the college halls and considers his relationship with Nagatoro, he views just how much her influence has altered him and just how little they know about her.
This episode doesn’t do very different than previous episodes but continues the popularity of Senpai investing in improving themself and dealing to maintain Nagatoro. Thinking about Senpai’s decision to pursue art school, it’s easy to understand how his relationship with Nagatoro is positively influencing him in the pursuits. Furthermore, it brings him nearer to the conclusion he doesn’t know Nagatoro in addition to he really wants to on the personal level.
Fans of Don’t Toy Beside Me, Miss Nagatoro are certain to love this particular episode like most of the others this year to date. Consequently, the visual gag of Senpai’s nervous “glass-lifting” mannerism didn’t get old, nor did his slamming into walls of snow. Let’s keep watching to determine in which the titular kouhai and her senpai finish up.
