Following a week’s break, the Blue Lock boys have returned for Episode 13, “Best Three.” This episode may be the first within the show’s next major arc, and the start of the wintertime Anime Season for that show. Blue Lock is beginning the brand new season at number 5 around the Winter Anime Rankings based on MyAnimeList, behind only big titles like One Piece and Bungo Stray Dogs. Blue Lock remained within the Top Ten all last season, so we are watching each week to find out if it will exactly the same this time around.
This episode was the first within the series not to have along side it figures we all know and love in the first season, because Isagi has moved to the Second Selection with simply Nagi and Bachira on his team. Additionally, it introduced not just a new play style and challenge, but brand new figures as antagonists. Episode 13 also ended with something unpredicted, that has been our favorite reasons for Blue Lock to date it remains difficult to predict.
Another Eclectic Trio
Blue Lock has already established an abundance of strange and cool side figures to both help and hinder Isagi along his journey. “Best Three” introduced three more, and they’re certainly a fascinating unit. Itoshi Rin, Aoshi Tokimitsu, Jyubei Aryu are each eclectic themselves, and therefore are a lot more of an unusual unit when come up with. The 3 are a team because Rin, who’s prepared to do anything whatsoever to become number 1, chose them because of their current rankings within the program. The 3 aren’t a cohesive unit, but can succeed because of their individual skills.

An Unpredicted Ending
The good thing of “Best Three” was the ending. Blue Lock could let Isagi and the team win the sport and allow them to keep a brand new team member, but it’s not too type of anime. Blue Lock loves to make its figures sweat, and truly fight for victory right in the last second like they did within the first season. So this means that Isagi’s team was overcome by Rin, Tokimitsu, and Aryu. That puts Isagi in a disadvantage, that is as he has a tendency to be interesting, anyway.
